The Nukit Tempest - PC Fan Air Purifier Kit (US)

Purchased mine about a month ago and I love it. Feels really solid, not afraid my children might break it, which would be a concern with CR box models sold by other companies. Mine came with a speed controller and remote, which was a surprise to me as the website didn't mention them. Maybe I got them by mistake? Overall great product. Came very well packaged with lots of foam cut outs to protect the parts. Really nothing negative to say about it, Nukit did a really great job on this.

I have 3 of these in my 3 story home. One for each floor to compliment my Merv-16+UV HVAC system. They work wonderfully well! The AQI in my area outside is usually quite good, but due to Canadian Wildfires, it is the 4th worst AQI in the world right now. But not inside the house! The PM 2.5 concentration in the house is nominal-0, perfect. It jumps a bit somethings because no house is perfectly sealed, but the Tempest brings it back down fairly rapidly.

I'd like a 4th one of these to be honest. When they come back in stock I will probably grab another one. Sleep, work, relaxation in the house have all improved with this. Even compared to the Winix units we used to have where these are now!

Remarkably light and discreet. Felt like Xmas when opening it, great packaging! Looks like a mini-PC case. With 4 Noctua-fans it is both quiet and efficient in keeping the air clean in our 75 m2 apartment. Don't know if the very expensive Noctua-fans were a bit of an overkill, one might get away with lesser fans. Had to buy a splitter, though, in order to use the PWM-controller that came along. Only gripe is that there are no mounting holes for the controller, and mounting it on the inside with the rotating button sticking out of the hole in the back is not the most elegant solution...
Tip: The filters from IKEA are to be mounted with the black frame facing outwards.
1 kg of activated carbon (coal) on the inside apparently would keep odours and gases at bay as well.

Excellent device, excellent price

Bought two of these in preparation for my less diligent partner’s return to an office environment. Not set up yet but planning to get him to use one at his office and the other in his den at home. Great packaging and speedy delivery.

Got my very securely packaged Nukit torches a day before a short trip. Packed them for it in hand luggage, and made use on the journey. Great kit suitable for travel. Can get your luggage pulled at security but once seen no one had any problem with taking these onboard planes. Love the neat pack, keeping them safe and organised.

After seeing how well it performed on "House-Fresh" their Channel, I bought one as well.

For fans I picked "Iceberg Thermal IceGALE Xtra", as they have a similar CFM {169 CFM} to "Noctua Industrials" at a fraction of the cost.
As of writing this review 30/March/2025 they cost around 6.60 euro 'Reichelt'.

I have used Fan grills on both sides, as the performance decrease is minimal.
The main reason I chose to do this is due the High CFM and it potentially sucking in the cables,
I used some cheap "Post" filters to give it a cleaner look as well, making the different color of the used fans barely noticeable.

My main method for turning the Filter ON/OFF is trough Home-assistant, trough a Smart switch {ZB-SW01}, since the switch supports RF as well, I paired the included remote to it as well. since the Zigbee switch can support a higher Ampere than the included RF controller

The average PPM with the Nukit running twice a day for 2 hours [In the morning, and during cooking], is roughly 2-4 [accounting for error margin].
Compared to the Natural decrease in PPM after cooking, the Nukit can bring it back to base levels within 2 hours. instead of a gradual decline of 6+ hours to base levels

The average energy consumption is around 15W, with the fans running at roughly 60-70% trough the included PWM controller [Max power is around 27W]

I have added a "self-locking 19mm switch" into the round hole in the back, which I plan to use later, to switch between 100% power-mode, and PWM mode.

In total my Nukit Euro build costed around 250-300 euro, depending on how much discount you can get on the used parts. [not including the Ikea PPM sensor]

I am so pleased to have received these lanterns. The packaging was 5 Star and more importantly so are the contents!. Nukit does a fantastic job at testing their products to ensure safety and I feel very lucky to be able to use them. Highly recommend and will order more once able.

Love this lucky necklace - like all Nukit products, the quality of the packaging and item itself are top notch. I purchased one as a gift and kept one for myself, and I've worn it (along with my trusty respirators) everyday since receiving it ^^

This is amazing.
I dusted and cleaned up my bedroom then used the lantern several days for 45 minutes sessions to clean the air around my bed with a fan on and the stuffy smell that clogged my sinuses is gone, now I use it every night to clean the air in my bedroom while I'm in the bathroom preparing for my beauty sleep, then I open the window 2 minutes and I sleep like a baby, I haven't dreamed about drowning or suffocating since. I also use it everyday for 30 minutes on my roommate's bedside table and I haven't heard them snoring them. Both of us keenly felt the upgrade in air and sleep quality.

This is not even the intended use but it works really well to kill pathogens and fungi in the air and I have empirical evidence. Would recommend

It’s cute and well-made. When combined with a mask, more effective than a St. Camillus medallion.

Just received my Nukit torches and couldn’t be happier! Super fast shipping and very high end packaging (but it’s what’s inside that counts!). These torches are portable and go a long way to help clean the air you’re breathing in. I use them in my house (have kids in school) and in the car - especially if other people are travelling with us. A good N95 is the best but these are a huge plus - especially in cases when you have to unmask. Nukit is the most transparent and honest business owner - they have my complete trust. Support them if you are able!

Very convenient. No skin reaction even though I’m allergic to sunlight.

I’m glad to have these torches. I have an infant who is too young for a mask, so UV-C is an important layer of protection.

I love my Nukit torches. They're very discrete and easy to set up for extra disease mitigation when we need to have a non-family member in the house. I also plan to take them with me on the few times a year I need to travel for work. When it became evident that one of the torches was not holding a charge as long as the other three, Nukit quickly sent a replacement torch.
